Well, I have been looking into this topic and have found the answer to that question and so much more, so read on to learn what I’ve discovered!
How Do T-Mobile Upgrades Work In 2024?
T-Mobile allows you to upgrade your phone once every two years if you want a new device without a down payment, but you’ll have to sign up for a two-year contract in 2024. However, you also have the option of upgrading early with T-Mobile if you qualify, but you’ll be paying a discounted price instead of getting a free upgrade.
Are you seeking additional details about how the T-Mobile upgrades work? If so, keep on reading, because I’ve got a lot more to share with you!
How Does an Upgrade Work With T-Mobile?
You can log in to your T-Mobile account to see if you qualify for an upgrade by selecting the “Upgrade Phone” option, and this will let you see specifics on what offers are available.
For example, if you upgraded 12 months ago, T-Mobile may give you an option to get a new phone at a discounted price, but only if you meet the qualifying conditions.
Furthermore, with this offer, you will need to be on a certain phone plan, and people on the Even More Plus or Value Plan cannot participate in this special upgrade offer.
In addition, there is an Early Upgrade Pricing offer available if you’re somewhere between 12 months and 17 months into your two-year contract, and others from 18 months to 22 months.
However, regardless of what plan you’re on, you can upgrade your phone once every two years with $0 down and the payments spread out evenly over a new two-year contract.
Does T-Mobile Charge an Upgrade Fee?
T-Mobile does require that you pay an $18 fee to upgrade your device, along with you agreeing to a new two-year contract.
What Is T-Mobile Jump?
T-Mobile Jump allows you to upgrade your leased T-Mobile device whenever you choose, and T-Mobile will pay up to half the retail price of your old phone.
However, to qualify for this program, you will have to enroll in the Jump Program, and that can cost you $9 to $12 more per month depending on your device, on top of your two-year contract.
Also, if you have Premium Handset Protection insurance through T-Mobile, Jump is one of the included benefits of the insurance,
Therefore, without the insurance, Jump is only worth it to people who want to upgrade their device every 12 months and who are willing to pay the additional costs to enter the program.
What Is Forever Upgrade With T-Mobile?
The Forever Upgrade with T-Mobile is not available anymore, but when it was offered, it allowed you to get $800 in trade-in value for your old iPhone so you could upgrade every two years!
Additionally, you could upgrade every two years for as long as you were on one of the qualifying plans, such as Magenta Max, for no additional cost.
Your trade-in value for your old iPhone would stay at $800 regardless, and you could maintain this deal forever, hence the name Forever Upgrade.
However, with the Forever Upgrade, you had to get your iPhone through T-Mobile, stay on a qualifying plan the whole time, and have a qualifying device to get the upgrade.
You also could not take part in the Forever Upgrade $800 trade-in value before the 24-months was up, but could qualify for other promotions if you traded your device in early.
T-Mobile allows you to upgrade your device for $0 down every two years, but you will need to sign a new two-year contract to receive this offer.
Additionally, you can log into the T-Mobile website and select “Upgrade Phone” to see what your qualifying offers are since T-Mobile has multiple upgrade offers and discounts.
