Even if you don’t have your iPhone close by, you can listen to Apple Radio for free on your Apple Watch. 

To do so, pair your Apple Watch with a Bluetooth headset, such as AirPods. 

However, on the Apple Watch, you are restricted to the free playback option to the Apple Radio Stations, such as Apple Music Country, Apple Music Hits, and Apple Music 1.
