In order to use EBT on Safeway’s website, you need to follow these steps:

- Reserve a pick-up time and add items to your cart
- Once at the checkout, under “Promo Code & Payment/Payment Details” select SNAP EBT as your form of payment
Does Safeway Take EBT For Pickup And/or Delivery?
Yes, Safeway allows customers to use EBT payment for pickup.
However, they currently don’t offer this payment option for grocery deliveries.
Does Safeway Accept EBT On Instacart?
Unfortunately, Safeway doesn’t accept Instacart payments with EBT. The only locations currently using this option are Aldi stores.
Which Food Items Are Eligible For EBT At Safeway?

Can You Use EBT At Safeway Starbucks?
Yes, the Starbucks kiosk at Safeway now accepts EBT! You’re allowed to purchase coffee and Starbucks bakery items with your EBT card.
However, this only applies to Starbucks in Safeway. Separate Starbucks stores are not associated with Safeway, and therefore will not accept this form of payment.
Does Safeway Bakery Take EBT?
The Safeway bakery does accept EBT. However, the item that you’re purchasing must not contain any inedible pieces (cake decorations, etc) that take up more than 50% of the surface of the item.
Can I Include Non-EBT Eligible Items In My Safeway Online Shopping Cart?
If you’re looking to purchase items in addition to your EBT purchases, this is completely fine!
You just have to pay for non-EBT items separately with a debit/credit card or cash when picking up your order.
