Amazon’s Prime membership is an excellent way to save a lot of money on shipping if you’re a frequent Amazon shopper.
However, you may be curious about additional benefits you can receive from shopping frequently at Amazon. For example, does Amazon offer its customers a rewards program?
Here is everything I uncovered about Amazon’s rewards!
Amazon Rewards Program
Amazon offers two Visa credit cards for both non-Prime and Prime members. Amazon Rewards allows customers to earn either 3% or 5% cash back on Amazon.com, 2% at restaurants and gas stations, and 1% back on all other purchases. You need to fill out forms before qualifying for Amazon rewards.

Does Amazon Have A Rewards Program?
As if shopping on Amazon couldn’t get any better, the company also has an excellent rewards program.
Amazon offers its customers the choice between two Rewards Visa Cards, which provide cash-back on every purchase, both on and off Amazon.com.
If you are an Amazon Prime member, you qualify for 5% cash back on Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market purchases.
In comparison, non-Prime members can get 3% cash back on Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market purchases.
What Rewards Can You Earn With Amazon?
The Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card allows its customers to earn either 3% or 5% cash back on Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market purchases, depending on whether or not they are Amazon Prime members.
The Amazon reward points also qualify for Whole Foods Market 365 and online Whole Foods Market purchases. But the rewards you can earn at Amazon don’t stop there!
Customers can earn 2% cash back at gas stations, restaurants, and drugstores and 1% on all other purchases.
How Do Amazon’s Rewards Work?
Amazon’s Visa rewards work similarly to other company credit card rewards programs. With that, the percentage of cash back rewards you earn are transferred into a points system.
For example, you receive one point for every penny you earn in the percent cash back rewards.
Then, for every 100 points you earn, it equals one dollar you can redeem at Amazon.com towards qualifying purchases.
If you don’t want to use your Amazon rewards at Amazon.com, the e-commerce giant also allows you to redeem your points through Chase Bank for cash back, gift cards, and travel.
How Do You Qualify For Rewards At Amazon?
Signing up for Amazon’s Visa card is simple. All you have to do is sign in to your Amazon account and find the Visa application page.
The website will then prompt you to enter certain information, which Amazon will use to determine whether or not you qualify for the Visa Rewards card.
If your application is instantly approved, you must consent to the Cardmember Agreement, the Amazon Rewards Visa Signature account terms, and other forms.
However, note that not every application is approved instantly.
If your application isn’t approved right away, it’s because Chase Bank needs to complete the review process, which takes between two to four weeks.
When Are Your Amazon Rewards Points Available?
When you view your accumulated points balance on your Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card, the total reflects your points balance as of your last billing cycle.
The points earned in a billing cycle are available once it ends.
When you use your Amazon reward points to shop at Amazon.com, the points are deducted as soon as your order ships.
However, if you redeem your Amazon reward points on Chase.com for cash back, gift cards, or travel, your points are immediately deducted from your account balance.
Are There Minimum Redemption Amounts?
There are no minimum redemption amounts when you buy items on Amazon.com.
However, if you want to use your points for gift cards or cash back, there are minimum redemption amounts (which vary between customers).
How Do You Check Your Rewards On Amazon?
Amazon allows you to check on the status of your rewards at any point in time.
To see your available points and rewards history, visit your Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature account.
Additionally, you can view your points earned on each purchase by logging on to Chase.com.
After logging in, go to the “See Account Activity” section and select the plus sign next to each transaction for further details.
What Other Qualifications Do Amazon Rewards Entail?

- $50 welcome bonus for non-Prime members
- $100 welcome bonus for Prime members
- 10% cash back on certain offers (for Prime members only)
