What’s The Price Of AppleCare Vs. Verizon Insurance?
Verizon Protect will cost you either $14 each month for Tier 1 or $17 per month for Tier 2, and the cost of Verizon Protect will depend on which tier your device falls into.
In contrast, AppleCare is free of charge, but it only lasts one year from the purchase date of your device, and it doesn’t offer a lot of coverage.
However, you can purchase extended coverage for your Apple device by purchasing AppleCare+, which is $200 all at once, or you can pay for it in $10 per month increments.
Moreover, you can view the entire list of prices for AppleCare+ since the price does vary depending on which device you own.
What Are The Differences Between AppleCare And Verizon Insurance?
The basic AppleCare only comes with a one-year warranty which covers issues such as:

- After-warranty defects
- Device replacement
- Theft, damage, and loss protection

Similarly, both AppleCare and Verizon have a $29 deductible for the cracked screen repair, but it’s only $29 for an iPhone on AppleCare.
Additionally, Verizon insurance offers unlimited cracked screen repair as long as you pay the $29 deductible for each instance.

Does Verizon Cover Apple Warranty?
If you purchase an Apple product from Verizon, you are covered under the Apple warranty, the standard one-year warranty for all Apple products.
However, if you’d like to purchase the Verizon insurance on top of the AppleCare warranty, you’ll need to do so within 30 days of buying the Apple device through Verizon.
Which Is Better: AppleCare Or Verizon Insurance?
When it comes to which insurance is better, you may find that AppleCare+ insurance is a better fit for you than purchasing Verizon insurance, especially if you’re on a budget.
For example, with AppleCare+, you only pay $10 per month or a $200 fee all at once, which is cheaper than the monthly Verizon charges for insurance.
Additionally, Verizon insurance only protects your device if you are on the Verizon network, so if you switch carriers, then the insurance is no longer valid.
With AppleCare+, you’re covered regardless of whether you have Verizon as your carrier or you switch carriers since the insurance will follow the device.
Furthermore, if you have AppleCare+ and something happens to your device, you’re getting repairs and replacements from Apple instead of Asurion, which Verizon uses.
For many people, knowing that they are getting a device repair from an Apple repair expert is more valuable since Apple technicians work on only Apple devices.
However, if you are a long-time Verizon customer and don’t see yourself switching away from Verizon in the future, then Verizon insurance could be a better choice.
That said, AppleCare+ might not offer all of the benefits of Verizon insurance, but it’s cheaper, and it’ll cover you no matter where you live, regardless of which carrier you use.
