To fill helium balloons at DG, we found that the price can vary from store to store. However, after speaking to one associate at my local location, this is what I was told in regard to their pricing.
- Latex balloons cost between $0.50 to $1 per balloon.
- Mylar/metallic balloons cost up to $4 per balloon to be filled.
- Jumbo balloons cost up to $15 per balloon to be filled.
Additionally, since DG sells a range of balloons for special events in-store, such as birthdays, anniversaries, and congratulatory events, these types of balloons can also be filled up.
Does Dollar General Rent Helium Tanks?
Unfortunately, Dollar General does not offer a Helium tank rental service. Instead, Dollar General will only fill up certain balloons that have been purchased in the store.
Does Dollar General Sell A Helium Tank Or Balloon Pump?
Yes, Dollar General does sell a Balloon Time 9″ helium tank which contains around 8.9 cubic feet of helium.
This kit also comes with a pack of 30 latex balloons, which is the average amount of balloons that a helium tank of such size can fully inflate.
Dollar General also sells small balloon pumps. However, such pumps do not inflate balloons with helium and only make use of air to fill them.
Who Can I Rent A Helium Tank From?
Helium tanks can be rented from a number of dedicated party stores, such as Party City and American Party Rental, which specialize in such products.
