How Do You Pay With A Visa or MasterCard Gift Card In-Store At Target?
All Target locations that accept Visa and MasterCard debit cards also accept their prepaid gift cards.
To pay, you can present your physical Visa or MasterCard gift card at an associate’s checkout register.
If you’re paying for your items at the self-checkout counter, scan the code on the back or key in the gift card number to use your gift cards.
Can You Use Visa Or MasterCard Gift Cards At Target.com?
Customers who are shopping at Target online can use both Visa and MasterCard gift cards at checkout.
To apply the balance of your gift card, enter the gift card number in place of a long card number along with the CVV code on the back when prompted for payment at Target.com.
Additionally, digital Visa and MasterCard gift cards can be used at Target.com as well — copy the card number from the eGift card email and apply it at checkout.

What Can You Use A Visa Or MasterCard Gift Card For At Target?
You can use Visa or MasterCard gift cards for just about every purchase at Target, including Target store gift cards.
However, some purchase restrictions apply—prepaid Visa or MasterCard gift cards cannot be used for ATM transactions, cash advances, or for lottery purchases (which are categorized as casino trading).
Other than that, you also cannot purchase any specialty or prepaid credit gift cards with Visa or MasterCard gift cards at Target.
Can You Use Digital Visa Or MasterCard Gift Cards Via Target Wallet?
Although you can link regular debit cards to your Wallet in the Target mobile app, you cannot add either digital Visa or MasterCard gift cards to the Target Wallet.
Digital and eGift Cards must be redeemed online or printed off to use in-store.
Does Target Sell Visa or MasterCard Gift Cards?
Target sells both Visa and MasterCard gift cards with various amounts of prepaid credit on them in increments of $25, $50, and $100.
You can choose between physical gift cards or eGift Cards that will be delivered by email to the recipient.
Note that customers can only buy up to 5 gift cards per day, with an activation fee charged at purchase that starts at $4 and goes up depending on the total amount of credit bought in the gift card.
Keep in mind that Visa and MasterCard gift cards cannot be bought in bulk or reloaded at any time.
