Why Doesn’t Target Sell Under Armour?
One of Target’s most vital competitive advantages is its extensive catalog of private-label brands exclusively sold in-store and online. Therefore, it does not need to rely on big brands such as Under Armour.
The CEO, Patrik Frisk, decided to cease the sale of Under Armour at value stores such as Target. Frisk claimed the decision was based on increasing the premiumization of its overall brand reputation.
For Target, the movement was a blessing in disguise as it shines a spotlight on its own activewear brand, All in Motion (See more below).
Which Stores Sell Under Armour Instead Of Target?
Under Armour products such as shoes, polo shirts, activewear, sporting accessories, and swimwear are predominantly available at Under Armour locations.
In the United States alone, the company operates over 153 retail stores and a fully stocked eCommerce platform.
Additionally, department stores such as JCPenney and Dillards sell a range of Under Armour garments and shoes suitable for men, women, and children.
Most products traded at these locations are sold at the original price but always watch out for sales!
Kohl’s is another excellent place to find Under Armour shoes and clothing in an assortment of colors and sizes. You can shop at one of Kohl’s 1,158 store locations across America.
However, if these stores are still out of reach, Macy’s also provides a similar selection of Under Armour products.
If you’re looking to spend a little less, it’s worth trying online third-party retailing sites such as Amazon, eBay, and Walmart Marketplace.
Is Target’s Activewear Good?
Target’s prime activewear brand, All in Motion, is gaining an increasing amount of positive recognition.
Not only are garments sustainably made, but they are designed with performance-ready tech.
In addition, products will include at least one of the four elements that improve movability: Moisture-wicking, SPF 50, 4-way stretch, and secure pockets.
Customers have expressed how lightweight the clothing feels as they undertake exercise.
Additional feedback praises the brand’s subtle designs without logos plastered across the front. Also, for the price point, you can’t go wrong!
Does Target Sell Other Activewear Brands?
If you’re disappointed by the removal of Under Armour, Target also sells Reebok and ASICS, fairly similar sporting brands. In addition, you may also find big brands such as Mugler’s and Timberlands.
For a more extensive range of stock, consider heading over to Target.com, where you can also search through products sold by third-party merchants.
