Wayfair is present in several countries but is mainly based in the U.S., where it calls Boston, MA home.
But what if you live in the U.S. territories or outside of the contiguous 48 states? Does Wayfair deliver to you, and if so, does it deliver for free?
Does Wayfair ship to Puerto Rico, and if so, how much does it cost? I have the answer you seek.
Does Wayfair Ship To Puerto Rico In [currentyear]?
Wayfair does ship to Puerto Rico, but with the caveat that “additional fees or shipping restrictions may apply.” However, most, if not all, parts of Puerto Rico do seem to fall under the regular shipping guidelines, with no additional fees. The cost of shipping is free for purchases over $35.

Does Wayfair Ship To All States?
Wayfair does ship to all U.S. states, including Alaska and Hawaii, and U.S. territories, like Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
However, because of the shipping costs to more remote locations, customers living in the non-contiguous 48 states can expect to be ineligible for free shipping over $35.
But not everyone living outside the U.S. mainland has to pay extra.
For example, I input various ZIP codes into the “Ship To” section of the Wayfair cart from Puerto Rico, including the major cities of San Juan and Ponce, but also smaller towns.
And in every instance, the free shipping over $35 applied, leading me to believe that there is no extra fee for shipping to Puerto Rico.
However, something interesting does happen to the delivery methods under the individual items.
When I input a ZIP that is part of the contiguous 48 states the items show Free Shipping, plus the estimated arrival date.
But when I input a ZIP that is part of Puerto Rico, that changes to read “Free Ground” but no arrival estimate.
So it does seem that while shipping to Puerto Rico is still as affordable as shipping to New York or California, it will take longer.
One example of a state that incurs an additional fee is Alaska.
Because of Alaska’s location, free shipping over $35 does not apply.
When you enter an Alaskan ZIP you get the message, “This postal code is outside our normal delivery zone, and we are unable to offer free shipping.”
Instead, the cost to ship rises as the price total goes up in your cart.
So for something that costs $25, you’ll spend an additional $39 on shipping – more than the cost of the item itself.
For a cart that is worth almost $500, it’ll cost $118.98 to ship.
And a cart worth over $2,000 costs an additional $636 to ship!
So while Wayfair might ship to all 50 states and U.S. territories, if you live in an area outside their normal delivery zone, you will have to pay quite a lot extra.
Is Wayfair Shipping Expensive?
Usually, Wayfair shipping is very affordable – just $4.99 if your total is less than $35, and it’s totally free if your order is over $35.
However, that only applies to the contiguous 48 states and some territories, like Puerto Rico.
If you live in Alaska or Hawaii, for example, you are outside of Wayfair’s normal delivery zone, and you will pay big bucks to ship your items in.
For example, to ship an order just over $1,000, you will pay an additional $558.98 in shipping if you live in Alaska or Hawaii.
Does Wayfair Ship Out Of Country?
Wayfair doesn’t ship out of country; instead, the individual countries in which Wayfair is present overwhelmingly have their own set of websites and suppliers.
So rather than shipping all items in from the U.S., Wayfair’s international sites have their network of warehouses and merchandisers within each country.
That means that you won’t necessarily find the same things on each country’s Wayfair site; they’re probably going to be difference makers and companies.
What Countries Is Wayfair In?
Wayfair is currently in the U.S., Canada, Germany, the UK, and the Republic of Ireland.
In fact, Wayfair recently just added the Republic of Ireland to their list of available countries in June 2022.

Conclusion
Wayfair does deliver to Puerto Rico, as the company does to the entire U.S. and its territories, and even better, the additional shipping fees do not appear to apply.
However, it does appear that delivery to Puerto Rico is going to be slower than to the contiguous 48 states – but at least you’re not paying hefty shipping fees like to Alaska or Hawaii.
