How Do Amazon Deliveries Work?
Amazon delivers packages between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM local time. Most of the time, drivers simply leave packages in a secure location without informing the customer.
Still, an Amazon driver may knock, ring the doorbell, or directly contact you to inform you of delivery.

That said, this could be because a package needs a signature, or the driver couldn’t find a secure place to leave the item.
Still, if a driver cannot deliver a package, they will hold onto it and reattempt delivery the next day.
Will Amazon Attempt To Deliver Again?
If Amazon can’t deliver your package on the first attempt, they will automatically try to deliver it again up to three more times.
Usually, the next delivery attempt comes the day after the originally scheduled delivery attempt.
If that’s inconvenient, you can select a redelivery date by clicking on the “Track Package” button beside the order in question under the “Your Orders” tab on the Amazon website.
Also, you can update your delivery preferences from this window to include instructions like “Call me when you arrive” or “Leave my package with the building manager.”
As you can imagine, leaving these kinds of instructions is helpful as they can cut down on the number of delivery attempts Amazon has to make.
Will Amazon Reattempt Delivery On The Same Day?
No, Amazon will not reattempt delivery on the same day. Instead, the next delivery attempt is made the day after the original effort.
Then, any subsequent delivery attempts are made on the three consecutive days following the original delivery attempt.
What Happens If I Miss The Third Amazon Delivery Attempt?
As mentioned previously, Amazon will make up to three delivery attempts.
If Amazon cannot get in touch with you and the third attempt is unsuccessful, then your package will be returned to Amazon for a refund.
