How to Cash Out on DoorDash In 2024

DoorDash automatically pays DoorDashers every week via direct deposit; however, you can choose to cash out daily or after every dash, too, as of 2024. When you cash out daily with DoorDash, there is a $1.99 fee. However, instant cashouts don’t have fees, and you need to sign up to do so.

How Can You Cash Out on DoorDash?

DoorDash allows delivery drivers to choose how often they want to cash out. That said, you can cash out weekly, daily, or instantly on DoorDash.

Further, DoorDash automatically pays delivery drivers every week via direct deposit.

However, if you want to get your money earlier, you can opt for DasherDirect (instant payments) or Fast Pay (daily payments).

With DasherDirect, you receive a special Visa credit card to which your payments are automatically uploaded.

In comparison, Fast Pay allows drivers to cash out their earnings at the end of each day. However, there is a $1.99 fee per day when using Fast Pay.

How Do You Set up Weekly DoorDash Payments?

Fortunately, DoorDash makes it easy to set up direct deposit, so you don’t have to worry about when your payments will arrive in your bank account.

That said, to set up a direct deposit with DoorDash, follow these steps:

  1. Go into the Dasher mobile app
  2. Find the “Earnings” tab
  3. Tap the red bank symbol (in the top right-hand corner of the screen)
  4. Fill out the necessary bank information (name associated with the bank account, social security number, routing number, account number)
  5. Click on “Submit Bank Details” to complete the process

After entering this information, all of your DoorDash earnings will automatically be placed into your bank account at the end of each week.  

How Do You Set up Daily DoorDash Payments?

If you wish to collect your DoorDash earnings every day, you must set up this payment method in your Dasher settings.

After following the steps listed above, click on “Fast Pay” to opt for daily payments. Then, you must enter information for a valid debit card, which is required to use Fast Pay.

Keep in mind that when you sign up for Fast Pay, there is a seven-day processing period before using the service.

After the processing period is over, follow these steps to cash out using Fast Pay:

  1. Find the “Earnings” tab in the Dasher app
  2. Click on “Deposits and Transfers”
  3. Click the “Cash Out with Fast Pay” to transfer the earnings to your debit card account

Additionally, you will have to pay a $1.99 fee per cash out, and you can only cash out with Fast Pay once per day.

If you want to take advantage of instant payments, you must sign up for DasherDirect, which is very simple.

However, you must apply for DasherDirect, so there’s a chance you won’t be accepted for instant payments. Still, DoorDash rarely denies instant payments.

So, to apply for a DasherDirect card, click on the “Earnings” section in the Dasher app and fill out the necessary information.

Then, after you receive your DasherDirect card, you can activate it and continue DoorDashing. After that, you can enjoy instant direct deposits after every order you deliver!  

What’s the Difference Between DasherDirect and Fast Pay?

There are a few differences between DasherDirect and Fast Pay. Most notably, DasherDirect allows instant payments, and Fast Pay allows for instant payments.

However, other differences between the two include:

  • Charges (Fast Pay charges a $1.99 fee while DasherDirect charges no fees)
  • Card Type (Fast Pay is only for debit cards, while DasherDirect requires drivers use the DasherDirect Debit Card through Payfare)
  • Processing Period (Fast Pay has a seven-day processing period while DasherDirect doesn’t have one)
  • Eligibility (Dashers must complete 25 delivers and work for at least two weeks while DasherDirect sends an invitation to qualifying DoorDashers)

How Does DoorDash Pay You?

DoorDash pays its delivery drivers through direct deposit to the associated bank account that you set up in your Dasher settings.

So, if your bank information changes, it is important that you alter the settings right away.

Also, if you choose to get instant payments, the money will be uploaded directly onto the DasherDirect card that’s associated with the account.  

Can You Track Your Earnings on DoorDash?

You can track your earnings on the Dasher mobile app. To do so, open the Dasher app and click on “Earnings” to see how much you have earned on a particular day.

Additionally, you can view your Earnings History to see how much you make per month, week, and day.

Moreover, the Dasher app indicates when there are opportunities near you to earn extra money when it’s busy.

Therefore, it’s best to DoorDash during the peak times, lunch and dinner, because you can make more money.
