New flooring can be returned to Lowe’s with a receipt within 90 days of purchase. Additionally, the flooring can be returned in-store or picked up from home. For custom flooring orders, returns can be made within 30 days of purchase, with customers subject to a 20% restocking fee.

What Types Of Flooring Can I Return To Lowe’s?
Any type of Lowe’s flooring can be returned if unused, including vinyl, floor tiles, laminate flooring, hardwood, carpet, wood-look tile, bamboo flooring, and more.
However, if your flooring from Lowe’s was installed, you cannot return the flooring. But, installed flooring from Lowe’s comes with a one-year warranty with the installation.
How To Return Flooring at Lowe’s
For in-store returns of new flooring, customers can visit a Lowe’s customer service desk with the item, the receipt, and a valid photo ID (state driver’s license, state ID card, or military ID) to get a refund.
However, if you purchased the flooring online, it will come with a prepaid merchandise return slip.
So, ensure the flooring is in its original packaging and include the completed return slip with the return.
Also, you can arrange for no-charge pickup of unwanted flooring if you live in the US by calling Lowe’s customer services at (800) 445-6937.
On the other hand, returning custom flooring is identical but includes a 20% restocking fee.
Can I Return Flooring To Lowe’s Without a Receipt?
Although it’s helpful to have your receipt, it’s not required to return flooring to Lowe’s.
In most instances, your receipt can be retrieved by using the original credit card, checking account number, MyLowe’s card, or phone number.
If your receipt can’t be retrieved, Lowe’s, at its discretion, may issue an in-store credit for the item’s current selling price.
However, if you paid for the blinds with a Lowe’s credit card, the purchase can be tracked via the account for your return.

Can I Return Used Flooring To Lowe’s?
If your flooring is unused and unopened, it can be exchanged within 90 days of purchase if returned with a receipt.
If opened, boxes of flooring can be returned, but it’s up to Lowe’s discretion, so make sure you have the receipt if returning an opened box of flooring.
Unfortunately, if the flooring is installed, used, or damaged, it can’t be returned.
How Long Do I Have To Return Flooring To Lowe’s?
Unopened boxes of flooring can be returned to Lowe’s within 90 days of purchase.
However, custom flooring orders can be returned within 30 days of purchase but are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
How Will I Receive My Refund For My Lowe’s Flooring?
Lowe’s will issue the refund for your flooring via the method of original payment.
For example, if you purchased the flooring with cash, Lowe’s will refund you with cash.
Similarly, funds are only returnable to the credit or debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) you used at purchase.
If you have forgotten the card you paid with, your refund can be processed as store credit, or you can return the item and refund it onto your card another time.
For purchases made on a gift card or with store credit, Lowe’s will refund you with store credit.
On the other hand, Lowe’s purchases made with a debit card will refund you with cash or refund onto the debit card, which may take up to 15 days.
Finally, if you return and refund custom flooring orders, you will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.
