Best Buy accepts returns of TVs within 15 days of purchase for Standard, 30 days for Elite, and 45 days for Elite Plus members. You can return an opened TV without paying a restocking fee. However, you should attach proof of purchase for a full refund.

You can bring a variety of items, including receipts, packing slips, and credit cards, along with a valid photo ID as proof of purchase.   

Note that you may be charged a deduction fee for the lost item when you return a TV with missing accessories or packaging. 

Is There A Restriction On The Size Or Type Of TV I Can Return To Best Buy?

Best Buy allows customers to return any TV purchased at their stores regardless of the TV screen type or size.

Can I Return A Damaged TV To Best Buy?

Best Buy allows customers to return TVs that get damaged during shipping to its stores within their return period, also offering a replacement for the damaged TV.

To protect TVs from getting damaged during delivery, Best Buy offers its own delivery team along with the option to return the TV and get it replaced if it still gets damaged.

However, note that Best Buy may deny your return for a damaged TV if it is transported home without the assistance of a qualified Best Buy team.

Can I Return A Defective TV To Best Buy Without The Box?

You can return a defective TV to Best Buy without the box, but the defect must have occurred during shipping or at the Best Buy store for the store to accept your return. 

Additionally, Best Buy will only accept the return if the Best Buy team is in charge of handling the TV from the store to your residence.

Other than that, Best Buy will charge a deduction fee for any lost TV accessory and packaging if you return a TV without the box. 

Does Best Buy Accept Returns Of Damaged TVs Via Mail?

Best Buy accepts damaged TV returns by mail, and you can initiate a return for a damaged TV by calling  1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289) for special instructions. 

Note that all returns are to be made within the stipulated period depending on your membership status at Best Buy.

Also, Best Buy will cover all the shipping fees incurred if your TV qualifies for a return made through the mail.

Best Buy allows customers to return a TV with no receipt. However, you must provide an alternative proof of purchase, such as a credit card for Best Buy, to track your purchase.

You must bring along a valid photo ID with you since Best Buy will use that to verify your transaction.

Keep in mind that Best Buy reserves the right to reject the return if it is unable to track your purchase through any means. 

Does Best Buy Accept Returns Of Open Box TVs?

You may return an open box TV at any Best Buy store as long as it is in a new-like condition and has not been damaged while in your possession.

As with all returns, you must have proof of purchase and be within the returns window for your membership category.

In addition, any missing accessories and packaging will incur a deduction fee from Best Buy.

Can I Return A TV Picked Up At A UPS Access Point To Best Buy?

You can return a TV picked up at a UPS Access Point to Best Buy.

In fact, all Best Buy purchases, such as a TV picked up at a non-Best Buy station, CAN ONLY be returned to Best Buy. 

Does Best Buy Accept TV Returns For An Exchange?

Best Buy allows customers to return a TV and exchange it with any brand as long as the TV is 60 inches or more as mentioned in the Best Buy TV Promise.

Additionally, you will not be charged any delivery fee for your newly exchanged TV unless you live in an area with an extra delivery fee. 

Does The Best Buy TV Promise Cover Mounting Services?

The Best Buy TV Promise covers mounting services for your newly exchanged TV if you had paid for Best Buy mounting services in your previous purchase. 

You may unmount the TV and return it to the Best Buy store or pay for Best Buy TV mounting services for an exchange. 

Note that if you had not purchased the mounting services with the initial TV, Best Buy will charge you for the service, which includes unmounting your previous TV and mounting the new one. 

Before doing anything, you should talk to a Best Buy representative on 1-888-237-8289 regarding the mounting services you want to make the most of Best Buy’s TV Promise. 

Is There A Best Buy Restocking Fee For An Opened TV?

There is no restocking fee for a TV returned to Best Buy, whether new or opened. Best Buy allows customers to return the opened TV as long as all aspects of the TV return policy are met. 

Additionally, ensure that all the TV accessories and packaging purchased with your LG, Hisense, Sony, Samsung, or any other TV brand are included when you go for the return.

Will Best Buy Accept A TV Return After 15 Days?

You may return a Hisense, LG, Samsung, or any other TV model after 15 days if you are a Best Buy Elite or Elite Plus member.

Elite members have 30 days, whereas Elite Plus members have 45 days to return their purchases to Best Buy. 

Unfortunately, you may not return a TV after 15 days if your membership status at Best Buy is Standard, but you can always upgrade your membership to get the increased return window for items at Best Buy.

Can I Return Gifted TVs To Best Buy?

Best Buy allows customers to return gifted TVs to its store and gives them store credit for the purchase price of the TV.

For TV gifts returned via mail, Best Buy will credit the TV buyer, and a notification will be sent to them through email. 

Note that TV gift returns without a receipt will be subject to consideration by the store manager and may be denied.
