When you enter someone’s information using this procedure, Uber will send them text messages with details like the driver’s ETA, license plate number, vehicle make and model, and name.

Their name will now be available at the top of the screen under the dropdown menu where you clicked on “For me” for faster access to the function.
How they’re displayed in this menu will correspond with the name you’ve used for their contact and you can add multiple people so it’s easier to tell who’s who.
