Does Costco Develop Film And Print Photos?
Costco does offer digital photo printing services, which is only available online at Costco.com as the in-store service was terminated in early 2021. Additionally, Costo no longer develops film rolls, 35mm film, film canisters, or disposable cameras, either in-store or online.
How much does the service cost, then? And why, exactly, does Costco no longer offer in-store photo services? Read on to find out!

Costco offers photo printing services at a really affordable price. However, you can only access these services online on the Costco Photo Center website.

Why Can’t I Get Photos Printed And Developed In-Store At Costco?
Costco closed all of its in-store photo centers in February, 2021.
In an email announcement to Costco members, they cited a decline in demand since the rise of camera phones and social media as the main reason.
You can still access some of Costco’s photo services online, though, including many of the services that used to be available at the photo centers in their warehouses.
Unfortunately, services such as film development and photo restoration are no longer available either in-store or online. It is also no longer possible to get passport photos taken and printed in Costco stores.
However, other stores, such as Walmart and Walgreens offer some or all of these services.
What Are Other Services Available From Costco Photo Center?
Costco’s online Photo Center, which you can access through the Costco website, offers a wide range of products and services, all at very competitive prices.
These include uploading photos from your phone or social media to create unique photo books, prints, cards, and other memorable gifts.
There is a wide range of other products available, too, such as:
- Canvas prints
- Business cards
- Photo blankets
- Photo mugs
All products ordered can be delivered to your door, and will take between five and 10 business days to arrive.
You can get photos printed online on the Costco Photo Center website, by uploading them from your phone or social media. Any prints you order, whether they be standard 4×6 prints or personalized photo gifts, will take five to 10 business days to arrive.
However, you cannot get photos developed at Costco. This was a service that was only offered in-store. So, when Costco discontinued all of its in-store photo centers in February, 2021, this and other services, including passport photo printing and photo restoration, were axed.
