Target has established itself as one of the largest retail chains in the U.S. and is widely regarded for the huge variety of products it sells as well as the competitive prices and discount deals it offers.
With seniors all over the country regularly visiting Target to pick up their everyday essentials, you may be wondering if Target has any exclusive discounts for seniors. Here is what I’ve found out about this!
Does Target Have Senior Discounts?
Unfortunately, Target does not offer any senior discounts in-store, online, or on the Target app. However, there are other ways to save at Target such as using manufacturer coupons, signing up for Target Circle rewards or the Target RedCard, and using offers from Target Weekly Ads.

Does Target Have AARP Discounts?
Just as is the case for senior discounts, Target does not offer any AARP (formerly known as the American Association for Retired Persons) discounts in-store, online, or on the Target app.
Instead, the reward schemes Target offers are eligible for all ages which makes sure that there are ways for everyone to save money at Target.
Seniors Can Use Manufacturer Coupons At Target
Target will accept manufacturer coupons that are printed, found on the internet, or found in Target Circle as long as the printed limitations and requirements are met.
You can go through Target’s coupon policy to understand the guidelines and requirements you have to meet for Target to accept these coupons.
Target Circle Rewards Are Also Another Grear Way To Save
Target Circle Rewards is a free loyalty and rewards program (combined) for members at Target.
It allows loyal Target shoppers to earn cash back on eligible Target purchases, and find deals on Target merchandise.
Additionally, you can earn 1% every time you make an eligible purchase with a non-RedCard payment method at Target in-store or online.
To redeem your offers, go to the Circle section of your Target.com account and enter the given codes at checkout to receive discounts on your purchases.
While this is open up to any Target customers, it is nonetheless a great tip for seniors to save some extra money!
Target Weekly Ads Provide Great Savings For All Customers, Including Seniors
The Target Weekly Ad contains exclusive offers about deals on products and can be found in most weekend newspapers, on the Target app in the row ‘Weekly Ad and Catalogs’ (in the Discover tab), or online at Target.com/weeklyad.
Product selection and pricing for the Weekly Ad varies by location and may differ from deals and promotions offered on Target.com
Target RedCard Also Provide Additional Savings
A Target RedCard is a credit card that can only be used in-store at Target or online at Target.com.
You can apply for a Target RedCard online through Target.com, by calling at 1 (800) 659-2396, by mail, or by visiting a nearby Target store.
Once you have submitted your application, you will be issued the Target RedCard when your application gets approved.
Target RedCard members are entitled to 5% discounts on eligible purchases in-store and on Target.com, along with free two-day shipping on eligible orders.
They also receive a coupon for 10% off on a purchase every year if signed up for Target emails.
Furthermore, cardholders receive an additional 30 days to return items bought in-store or online, even if the items have modified return times.
