Lowe’s Price Adjustment Policy (All You Need to Know)

With regular deals and discounts, Lowe’s is one of the leading hardware retailers in the United States. To give customers the best prices on desired products, Lowe’s can price-match other retailers.

If you’ve already purchased an item from Lowe’s that you have found cheaper elsewhere, you may be wondering if you can get a price adjustment from Lowe’s. I’ve done the research, and here’s what I have learned!

Lowe’s Price Adjustment Policy

To claim a price adjustment from Lowe’s, you must do it within 1 day of purchase, and you must have proof of the lower price at another retailer or Lowe’s. Also, you can make price adjustments at Lowe’s both in-store and online through Lowe’s Customer Care team. The previous policy of 30 days for a price adjustment and since been discontinued.

Keep reading for more information about Lowe’s price adjustment policy, including how it works, how you can receive a price adjustment, and what items are excluded!

How Does Lowe’s Price Adjustment Policy Work?

Lowe’s price adjustment policy is similar to its price promise, which means it can adjust the prices of its products to match the lower prices of competitors to give customers the best deals.

With that, for your item to qualify for a price adjustment, you must have already bought it either in a Lowe’s store or online.

For example, if you purchase a tool from Lowe’s for $10 and a week later you find the exact tool priced at $7 in a competitor’s store, you can claim a price adjustment from Lowe’s and be refunded the $3 difference.

Also, Lowe’s offers price adjustments for its own products.

For example, if you purchase a $10 tool from Lowe’s and a week later the price is reduced to $5, you can receive a partial refund of $5.

How Do I Get a Price Adjustment at Lowe’s?

Receiving a price adjustment at Lowe’s is similar to receiving a price match, meaning you receive a price adjustment in-store or online at Lowe’s.

Getting a Price Adjustment In-Store

Visit your local Lowe’s store and explain how you would like a price adjustment.

However, make sure you have a valid proof of your purchase from Lowe’s, such as a receipt and evidence of the lower price at a competitor’s store.

Then, a Lowe’s cashier will verify the lower price at a competitor’s store. If the price adjustment is eligible, you will receive a partial refund on your purchase.

However, you must visit Lowe’s within 30 (now 1 day to the updated policy) days of purchase to be eligible for a price adjustment.

Getting a Price Adjustment Online

If you cannot make it to your local Lowe’s store, you can contact Lowe’s Customer Care team at 1-877-465-6937 to discuss a price adjustment.

Again, you need your proof of purchase and proof of the lower price on a competitor’s website to receive a price adjustment from Lowe’s.
