The lowest hourly wage is $8.29 for cashiers and sales clerks at Dollar General, while Forklift Operators make the highest hourly wage at $17.62.

Dollar General pays stockers an average of $9.03 per hour. Stockers’ wages vary by experience – the least experienced stockers usually make $8.75 an hour (can vary by state), while more experienced stockers can make as much as $10.00 an hour.

Dollar General pays its assistant managers an average of $25,177 per year. Depending on experience, assistant managers will usually make between $23,000 and $28,000 a year.

How Much Do Dollar General Cashiers Make?
The basic pay for a Dollar General cashier is .20 – 25% below the national average pay for cashiers. However, more experienced cashiers may make slightly more, with some cashiers reporting wages of up to $8.79 per hour.
Based on a 40-hour workweek on the basic rate, cashiers at Dollar General will make around $17,056 per year.
How Much Do Keyholders Make At Dollar General?
Keyholders are paid an average of $9.11 an hour at Dollar General, meaning an average yearly salary of $18,948 based on a 40-hour workweek.
More experienced keyholders can expect to earn slightly more, as keyholders with 10 or more years of experience have reported wages of up to $9.88 per hour.
Are Dollar General Employees Paid Bonuses?
